Create good-enough applications! 17:21 on Friday
Not taking a stand in how well the IBM Mashup Center pulls off its promise, I find it assuring that the phrase “good enough applications” is used in the marketing of the service.
The whole software industry is built on a model in which nothing is ever good enough. Every application is merely the best you can get until the next version comes out. To come up with new versions of “better and improved” software, developers must invent new features to top off the old spec list. How many of these are actually needed is a completely different matter. Hence, it’s great to see a company of IBM’s stature claim that good enough is good enough (again).
