Commenters: Provide disclosure and build trust 10:31 on Monday

A comment on my blog left me wondering — what is it with people who post comments suggesting to take a look at “the great solutions provided by this company I’ve heard of, XYZ” and visiting XYZ.com (or whatever) to check it out. When you look closer, the email address of the commenter is at xyz.com and his name is linked back to xyz.com.

What I don’t get is why don’t these people introduce themselves as the representative of XYZ and by disclosing this fact, build more trust, maybe even start a conversation?

Be proud of where you work! You shouldn’t have anything to hide.
