So can we start calling user experience total quality management?

    Good analogy.

    I remember reading somewhere that in the 80′s, the world went crazy about “quality”, and formed separate Quality Departments. And the same thing happened with “strategy” – it was something important, therefore you needed a separate Strategy Department. And I think the same thing happened with “security” and a couple of other things. Now, the same thing might be happening with “user experience”.

    As far as I know, all of these approaches have failed. You can’t separate something that should be built-in in what you do.
