A Mac “wow” 10:16 on Saturday

I went to my MacBook this morning only to notice the battery had drained and the computer had shut down completely from the sleep mode. Bummer, i thought. Hopefully I hadn’t left anything important unsaved.

I pressed the power button to start up my mac. No startup sound. After waiting for a while, I get a grey screen with a progress bar, different from any other I’ve seen on the mac. When the progress bar had finished, I got a blue screen, then a black screen, a little spinning pizza of death, and then a screen saver login box. I typed in my password and voila, the computer is fully resumed to where I left it. Wow.

Maybe this is common knowledge, but somebody forgot to hype this feature to me.
