Looking for a CD shelf 16:42 on Saturday
About 18 months ago I bought a plastic CD shelf from IKEA. The plan was to attach it to a wall, see if it stays there (you never know when you buy from IKEA), and if it does stay and look good, buy something like 20 shelves more. Being the indecisive me that I am, I never got around to actually trying the thing on the wall.
Now that I’ve kind of started to bond with the cheap looking plastic thing, IKEA doesn’t sell them anymore. Bummer.
So… I’m going for a long shot and I’ll try to find some online. Ebay didn’t help and therefore I turn to you, dear readers. I’ll consider this as a cool experiment on “the power of blogs” to draw your attention. If you’ve seen these shelves, know someone who has those shelves and wants to get rid of them, or know of a cheap and relatively similar alternative, let me know. Below is a picture of the thing:

Why do I like it?
- It cost me less than 2 euros
- It can hold 51 CDs, bringing the cost of shelving my over 1000 CDs to around 40 euros. With any other solution the cost easily goes to 400 euros and beyond…
- It’s not a beauty, but when it’s full of CDs it’s pretty much not visible at all
As said, I need at least 20 (or actually 19 as I already have one) of those shelves, but if you have even one you’re willing to part with, let me know.

Maybe these would also do for CD’s? Taking one from the middle of a stack requires bit more skills.

I don’t know if they’re good for CDs, but I sure want those for my books! :)
